WAYNE FEDERMAN DEBUT COMEDY ALBUM + LINER NOTES BY JUDD APATOW OUT OCT 16
ASPECIALTHING RECORDS set to release the debut comedy album from veteran comedian WAYNE FEDERMAN. Recorded over the past three decades (1984-2015) in numerous venues, ‘THE CHRONICLES OF FEDERMAN’ is a unique comedy retrospective. The sweeping three-volume set spans Wayne’s journey from New York’s traditional comedy clubs during the “comedy boom” of the 80s, to Los Angeles’ alternative rooms, and on to major theaters and festivals. The album provides a fascinating look at both the development of an original comedian who continues to create inspired material, and the evolution of modern American stand-up over the past thirty years.
Longtime admirer JUDD APATOW wrote in the extensive liner notes, “Every time I have seen him on stage he has been pure joy to watch. His observational humor is unique and insightful, plus he is a fine musician who has written inspired jokes for the piano and the ukulele. There is nothing predictable about his act… He’s whimsical and super weird in the best way.”
Wayne’s talents reach beyond that of a legendary stand-up. He is also a successful actor known for his appearances on television and in movies such as The X-Files, Community, The Larry Sanders Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Funny People, Knocked Up, Fifty First Dates, Legally Blonde, The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Step Brothers. He was the head monologue writer for NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon over its first year, and also created the wildly successful Annual Wayne Federman International Film Festival.
