After launching into their summerful of festival dates with raved about sets at Boston Calling, Googa Mooga and Houston Free Press Summer Fest, Matt and Kim are heading back to Bonnaroo for two big events.  The Brooklyn duo are bringing their high energy live show to The Other Tent on Saturday at 5:45pm.  Matt and Kim are also hosting a one-of-a-kind gathering in the Cinema Tent  at 4:30 on Friday as they present “How To Make A Fun Music Video” complete with video screenings, commentary by Matt and Kim and a live audience Q&A. Also on Friday, Matt and Kim will be available at the 1pm Press Conference in the media area.

Music/comedy mastermind Reggie Watts also makes a return visit to Bonnaroo this year with a Saturday evening  Comedy Bang! Bang! Show at 6:30.  Reggie and Scott Aukerman will be presenting their hit IFC show live in the Comedy Theater with some very special guests.  Next month, Comedy Bang! Bang! launches Season 2 on July 12.  And as of this Saturday, June 15th, the legions of Reggie Watts fans will be able to head to Netflix to watch his smash debut comedy release Why $#!+ So Crazy? featuring his hit “F*ck Sh*t Stack.”  Reggie will also be available at the Saturday Press Conference at 3pm in the media area.  Ask him…everything!

Big CONGRATS to MIKE LAWRENCE who just released his awesome debut comedy album SADAMANTIUM on Comedy Central Records last week.  The album made its way to  #5 on the Billboard Current Comedy chart and #13 on the overall Billboard Comedy Chart!

Blue-Eyed Son’s long-awaited new Shadows on the Son is available today via Eenie Meenie Records.  Just in time for the summer, Phoenix New Times hails the EP’s “laid-back, summery shimmer, along with jangly pop melodies, lush horn accentuations, and shiny harmonies” while Campus Circle says Shadows on the Son is “a bit like what you might get if you mashed up Modest Mouse with early Kinks.”   Shadows on the Son follows up the idiosyncratic charm of Blue-Eyed Son’s  ’04 breakout debut West of Lincoln – fans are excited for the band’s return!  Led by Andrew Heilprin, a surf instructor by day who formerly fronted the sonic punk band 40 Watt Domain, the EP’s sound leaves little doubt that Heilprin’s time on the beach lent direction to the vibe of Blue-Eyed Son’s pop filled new tracks.

OLA PODRIDA FRONTMAN COLLABORATES WITH EXPLOSIONS IN THE SKY FOR PRINCE AVALANCHE SOUNDTRACK

Ola Podrida founder/frontman David Wingo and fellow Austinites Explosions In The Sky have announced the release of their collaborative soundtrack for David Gordon Green’s fantastic new film Prince Avalanche.  Shot on location in Bastrop, TX, Prince Avalanche stars Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch in Green’s brilliant new understated dramatic comedy featuring original score by Wingo and EITS.  Recorded in the living rooms of its composers, the soundtrack is a casual affair, an earnest collaboration amongst friends.  Much like the film, the soundtrack stitches dozens of tiny moments of heartfelt brilliance into an emotionally resonant whole far more expansive than its intimate roots might imply.

Prince Avalanche OTS will be released on Temporary Residence on Aug 6.
